building clinical-trial platforms

I lead front-end engineering for regulated clinical-trial SaaS — the kind where an audit trail is a feature, not a log file.

Everything else here is mine: a learning platform that started with chess and didn't stop there.

01 — About

  1. 2017 /3D & Render Pipelines
  2. 2020 /Clinical SaaS
  3. 2024 /Leading UI

I started in 3D visualization and render-pipeline automation — Unity, C#, Blender, Python — and ended up building software that pharmaceutical companies run clinical trials on. Since 2024 I’ve led UI at Sycamore Informatics: front-end architecture, distributed systems architecture, delivery, and the engineers who ship it. In practice I work as a full-stack engineer, designing and solving problems end to end.

What I actually care about is the craft — clean architecture, systems you can reason about, tooling that makes a team faster. That curiosity leaks into side projects: an interpreter for a language of my own, a code-graph server that feeds context to AI agents, and a chess platform that survives losing the network.

02 — What I do

Software that has to be right the first time

Pharmaceutical sponsors and CROs run trials on the software I build. Here, a mistake is a regulatory finding — so correctness, auditability, and traceability are daily engineering conversations, not afterthoughts.

05 — Projects

Three things I built for myself

01

Polyflow

In development

Code-flow analysis + MCP context server for AI agents

Indexes a whole codebase into a queryable graph — functions, routes, brokers, jobs, components, datastores — so AI coding agents can ask precise questions instead of grepping in circles.

  • OTLP
› how it works
  • Parses Go, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Cross-service edge inference (HTTP, brokers, gRPC, GraphQL) with static → candidate → verified confidence.
  • Runtime evidence fused from captured OTLP traces.
  • Multi-repo “fleet” support with federated querying; served over MCP, plus a web UI and CLI.

Static analysis, distributed-systems modelling, and AI-agent tooling in one box.
